The Teachers House
The Teachers House was designed as integrated architecture and landscape design. The roof is used as a sculpture-garden suitable for social gatherings. The central court below grade brings natural light into the two underground floors and functions as a space for theatrical performances.
Queen Mary Development Area
A Master Plan for the development of a 50-acre area in Long Beach, adjacent to the Queen Mary. The design includes 10,000 square feet sustainable modules, each standing on a single pillar. The are is planned to include a restaurants' promenade, a Shakespeare's Globe Theater and a Westgate Tower, as a symbol of the United States presence in the Pacific Rim.
Avnei Chefetz
Avnei Chefetz was commissioned as a cultural center including a 15,000-seat amphitheater, a museum, two unified synagogues and a hotel.
Pine
An adaptive reuse of an industrial building conceived to be converted into a retail area at the street level and two lofts above it. The solar collectors are treated as a site-specific artwork.
Newberry Building
An adaptive reuse of a former retail store. It includes a bookstore, a terrace cafe and a small design hotel.
Rothschild
On a residential building of the 1930's Bauhaus Style in Tel Aviv we designed its conversion into a design hotel. Two floors were added for a business club.
Hollywood Hotel-Office-Cineplex
"Romeo and Julia Pregnant" was a project for a design competition in the heart of Hollywood. It included an 800-seat theater, a cineplex, an office building and a hotel. Most of the lower areas are accessible to pedestrians at street level. The two towers connected to each other at both the 10th floor and at the upper levels, which included restaurants and amenities.
