Our client was a young bachelor that bought a one bedroom condominium in a historic 1925 Bauhaus Style building. Without interfering with the exterior, we demolished the original partitions and created a new contemporary space.
On a major intersection of Downtown Long Beach an adaptive reuse of an industrial building was conceived to be converted into a retail area at the street level, and two lofts above it. Solar collectors were designed to provide electricity while serving as a site-specific artwork at the same time.
